Integrate with WEX

The Samsara integration with WEX enables you to add your fuel purchases from WEX-issued fuel cards into the Samsara Fuel Purchases Report automatically. It takes approximately 5-10 business days to complete the integration setup.

After the integration is complete, transactions are typically uploaded from WEX to Samsara daily.

Requirements

• Samsara: US-based customers

• WEX: WEX-issued fuel cards

  Note

  EFS fuel cards and FleetOne cards are not supported by this integration.

Deployment

WEX built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact WEX Support.

1. Fill out the Wex Integrations Setup form.

2. Sign, date, scan and send completed form to WEX ([e-mail]).

   Note

   WEX typically replies in 3-8 business days with integration credentials.

3. Select the Settings icon ( ) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.

4. Select Fuel & Energy > Fuel Cards.

5. Select Get Started > WEX Fleet.

   

6. Select I Have My Credentials and fill out the required details.

   

   1. Enter your WEX credentials.

      Note

      These credentials are different from the ones you use to log in to your WEX online portal.

      Entering incorrect credentials more than three times can cause WEX to lock you out of the SFTP server.

   2. Enter the File Name provided by WEX with your account credentials. Samsara uses this unique filename to map the integration with your transaction files.

   3. Enter at least one WEX Account Number. To add multiple accounts click Add Another Account Number.

      Note

      The WEX Account Number always begins with 690046 and must be a 19 digit number. It is not the same as the WEX card number.

   4. Enter a Contact Email. If there are any issues with the WEX integration, Samsara will use this email to contact you.

   5. Review and then agree to the Samsara Data Import & Sharing Addendum.

   6. Submit your settings when finished.

7. Verify the status of your integration from the Fuel Cards tab of Fuel & Energy settings.

   Fuel card transactions will appear on the Fuel Purchase Report within 72 hours. If needed, you can later edit or remove your integration from the Fuel Cards tab.
