If you use a diagnostic hub with the VG34, set it aside as you will not need it with the VG54.
The VG54 has a built-in vehicle diagnostics hub so there is no need for an additional accessory with the VG54. From a technical standpoint, the VG54 contains all of the features of the VG34 and includes its own diagnostics hub and C-Class cable.

After you install your VG and connect desired devices, pair the gateway with an asset. See Manage Your Gateways.

Return the old hardware to Samsara if a return is authorized. For more information, see https://www.samsara.com/support/hardware-warranty.
If the old hardware is not eligible for return, dispose of it properly in accordance with your local recycling process. As the gateways contain lithium batteries, it is recommended to observe the local guidelines for battery and electronic waste disposal and take care when handling them. To find the recycling guidelines for your area, consult your local Recycling Center.
