For each driver, the Hours of Service Report displays a list of available logs by date. Expand the date to review the additional details including:
-
Carrier information
-
Driver and vehicle details
-
Graphical view of the driver log
-
Certification status and time
-
Violations, if present. These are shown below the graph with a description of the violation.
In this report, you can view the date, hours, miles, and locations driven by a driver. Below that, you can view all your carrier, driver, and vehicle information. At the bottom of the report, the driver's log is displayed as a graph. If there are any violations, they will display below the graph with a description of the violation.
In this view, you can determine whether the driver has certified his or her logs. If a driver has not certified his or her logs, Samsara reports a Missing Driver Certification status that will show up as a Violation. Drivers can certify logs only up to 6 months in the past. If there are uncertified logs beyond 6 months, no edits or drive time can be assigned to those days.
Below the log, is a breakdown of the driver's status changes throughout the day.
For each status, you can view the start and end time and overall duration. These times are helpful when you are Editing Logs. You can edit logs directly from this report, helping to correct errors or update log entries as needed. Detailed instructions on how to edit logs are available in the Editing Driver HOS Logs section, accessible from the main report page.
You can also view any remarks added on the logs under the status to which it pertains.
On the top right corner of the report page, you can also use the View Event Log button to jump to the Driver HOS Audit Report for the selected driver.
