EU Compliance Configurations

For fleets that operate across borders or otherwise need more granular control over which compliance rules apply to your drivers, you can customize your compliance configuration. This includes choosing which rulesets apply to your drivers, so infringements and drive time calculations will align with the appropriate laws.

You can configure your organizational profiles in the Samsara dashboard from Settings > Fleet > Compliance. By the following rules are enabled:

• EU Tachograph, EU Working Time, EU Drivers' Hours: all customers with a European locale

• UK Working Time: all customers with a UK locale

• Arbeitzeitgesetz: all customers with a DE locale.

From the Samsara dashboard, you can view a summary of all the different rulesets that are applied to your fleet, and within those rulesets see the specific individual rules that are enabled.

If you want to make any changes to the rulesets, you can remove entire rulesets or individual rules. To help you understand and analyze regulations, the Samsara dashboard provides links to the respective regulatory document so that you can crosscheck the official language of the rules and ensure which rules apply to your drivers.
