From the Samsara dashboard, you can quickly view details about a specific managed device. You can view device details in two different places: the Fleet Overview and the MEM Overview.
From the Fleet Overview you can view mobile device information as it relates to vehicles in your fleet. To form the association with a vehicle, drivers log in to the Samsara Driver App and select their vehicle. For these vehicles, you can view the device name (or serial number if a device name is not defined) from the vehicle list on the left hand side of the Fleet Overview page, and on the vehicle summary that displays when you hover over a specific vehicle. On the driver details page you can also view the log in status to the Samsara Driver App, and the Samsara Driver App version number.
For even more detailed information about managed mobile devices in your organization, use the MEM Overview. To view details about your devices in table form, go to the MEM > Mobile Devices page. From this page you can also export device information to a comma-separated values (CSV) file.
On the MEM Overview, you can view the following information for each device:
-
Device name
-
Last location update (for more information, see View Device Location)
-
Last signed in driver (if signed into Samsara Driver App)
-
Last assigned vehicle (if assigned in Samsara Driver App)
-
Samsara Agent ID
-
Device model
-
Device serial number
-
Device IMEI
-
Android OS version
-
Assigned policy name
-
Remote session history
To view the device details:
-
From the Fleet menu, select
MEM Overview.
-
Locate the device in the list of devices to the left of the map.
If you have a large number of devices, you can Search by device name, device ID, signed-in driver, or vehicle name; or filter by one or more criteria (Policy name, Mobile Device Model, and Software Version). You can also sort the list of devices by last known location (newest or oldest) or alphabetically by device name (A-Z or Z-A).
-
Select the device name to view additional device details.
-
If needed, take further action to manage the device from the action menu (...):

-
Assign Device to Policy: If you need to assign a policy that is different than the current policy on the device, Change the Device Policy.
