Integrate with Edulog

The Samsara - Edulog integration provides fleet managers and parents with increased visibility into school bus routes.

Edulog leverages information from telematics units installed in school buses to provide data on where buses are located and where they stop. This information is used in real time to answer parent phone calls, to assist law enforcement in the event of an accident or a missing child, and to enable dispute resolution when members of the community complain about bus activity (speeding, reckless driving), or incidents on the bus.

Requirements

• Edulog:

  • Edulog Routing Software

  • The Parent Portal app is free for parents, available on iOS and Android.

• Samsara:

  • Samsara: Samsara API token with read scope

  • ID Cards

Deployment

Edulog built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact Edulog Support.

1. In your Samsara dashboard, navigate to Settings > Apps.

2. Search for and then select Edulog to install the app.

   Samsara generates an API token with the appropriate scopes.

3. Send the API token to your Edulog representative and request the Samsara integration.

   Edulog will complete the account setup.
