Configure Image Settings for a Samsara IP Camera

After you discover and add IP cameras in the Samsara dashboard, you can also configure basic image settings such as camera orientation. Changing these settings will reset video recording settings such as Target Quality and Max Bitrate.

Note

Image settings are only available for Samsara IP cameras and are not supported with third-party cameras.

1. From the Samsara dashboard, select Devices > Site Cameras.

2. Select a camera model, either SC11 or SC21.

   

3. Change the camera orientation, if desired.

   Options are: Flip Vertically, Flip Horizontally (mirror), Rotate Right 90°, Rotate Left 90°. After you select an option, the image Preview updates.

   

4. Review the image Preview, when available. If the image is blurry, Refocus the camera, if needed.

   Note

   Refocus is available only for the SC21.

   Refocus takes 10-20 seconds to complete and may delay the generation of the preview image. When you are satisfied with the preview image, you can see the final result by clicking the stream preview at the top right of the page.
